The Spiritual Stand

The forces of good and evil are always at battle with each other. A fact that we all know, right? Right. (Oh yeah.)
Take for example this picture above. You can see my cat (the one on its belly) gazing warningly and fiercely at the black cat (our neighbour's cat) lest his food be taken away.

There is a war being wage and our part is inevitable.

If we look at mankind's history we can see that this war goes back as far as the Creation when the angel Lucifer rebelled against God saying "Non serviam." He tried to take something that was and is not rightfully his and thus was thrown down into the pits of hell by the Archangel Michael.

This stand-off between good and evil is manifested all throughout our lives and most of the time we are oblivious to fact that sometimes we play our part as pawns and kings of this universal event.

This week as we near the day of commemoration of the death of Christ we are confronted by the question that asks which side are we most of time in this spiritual chessboard. This is the time of the year for us to renew our stand against the forces of evil lest we lose what is rightfully ours.

Thus though I am drunk as I am obscure on the point of this post. I call to you my brothers and sisters in Christ. To arms against the forces of hell! Glory be to God!
